Kempe Takes Hong Kong

Please join us on April 21, 2012 at the Denver Marriott City Center as we celebrate in the place where “East meets West;” where modern and traditional combine in one of the world’s most exciting cities; a night of sights, sounds and tastes in Hong Kong benefitting The Kempe Foundation.

The evening will include a reception, an elegant dinner and show to support the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect.

And just announced, The Silhouettes will be performing at Kempe Takes Hong Kong on April 21, 2012.

The 42-member dance troupe (ages 3-to-23) have knocked the socks off of the audiences and judges on NBC's hit show "America's Got Talent." The Silhouettes are part of Rocky Mountain School of Dance and Performing Arts, led by Lynne Patton for the past 20 years. The dancers shake it up behind a white screen — and make silhouettes that amaze.

As seen on America’s Got Talent; in one recent performance the group started with "God Bless America" and created shadow images of the nation's Capitol, Mount Rushmore, "AMERICA" spelled out, Iwo Jima, the New York City skyline and the Statue of Liberty. The outing left the troupe in tears, the audience standing and the judges amazed.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to enjoy the Silhouettes in Denver on April 21.

Nearly 800,000 children are confirmed as having been abused or neglected in this country each year, including 11,000 in Colorado alone.  Please help us give them hope.  In 2012, The Kempe Center celebrates its 40th Anniversary.  It also marks the 50th Anniversary of Dr. C. Henry Kempe’s landmark paper, “The Battered Child Syndrome.”  The Kempe Center and Foundation is a living legacy of Dr. Kempe and his belief that every child deserves a life free of abuse and neglect.  Tickets and sponsorships are on sale now!
